Sandwiches
In France, sandwiches are not two slices of pain américain with lettuce and a slice of ham. Well it kind of is, but it’s done so much better.
For starters the bread is a baguette, yes sandwiches here are almost always half a metre long. On its own with nothing inside, it can make you really full. On top of that (or rather inside), they add what completes the sandwich: jambon (ham), fromage (cheese), Salmon, steak, etc…
Sandwiches are made from freshly baked baguette, and anyone that’s eaten fresh bread knows that very few foods compare in goodness.
